This tough shrub can handle many urban conditions and is attractive as a single specimen or planted in mass. Its short, spreading nature makes it a great groundcover, or it can be used beneath trees or as a filler between taller plants, growing to 3 by 3 feet tall and wide. Its foliage is a dense, glossy green and the plant occasionally produces small, white flowers that smell like orange blossoms.
