Yew Pines make good container plant because it grows fairly slowly. It is fire-wise and also makes a good specimen plant, hedge, espalier, privacy screen or windbreak. This shrub takes well to shearing and holds its shape. This plant can take the heat but needs moderate water and protection from direct sunlight. It is somewhat toxic.
