This airy, rounded shrub grows to 4 feet or more and has bright green, needle-like leaves, accented by masses of bright yellow, buttercup-like flowers in early spring. Brown, papery seed pods follow the flowers and can remain on the plant for several months. This is a touch, desert plant that takes full sun and reflected heat and prefers deep, infrequent water when established.
