This graceful palm has a thick stout trunk and feathery leaves that arch downwards. Growing up to 10 ft. tall, this is a great accent plant for the desert landscape. Large, creamy yellow flowers appear in late spring. The cherry-sized, yellow-orange fruit it produces tastes like a mixture of several flavors such as pineapple, apricot, apple, banana, and vanilla.
