Dwarf Yaupon Holly$
This multipurpose evergreen grows wider than tall – from 2-4 high and up to 4 feet wide. It is spreading with tiny, dark green leaves, without spines, on twiggy branches. White flowers bloom in the spring, but only females produce berries and must have a male nearby. This small shrub has a dense, round, symmetrical form. It can also be sheared into a square hedge, sphere, or topiary shape. It’s great for foundations, mass plantings, containers, and along the edge of a driveway. It is drought tolerant and very easy to care for.
