The new leaves of this lovely shade tree are “pushed” out in red and then change to dark green, followed by shades of blazing red, orange, and yellow in the fall. Bright yellow flowers cover the tree in the spring. It has a broad spreading crown and a moderate growth rate. It is strong and flexible, loves the sun, and tolerates drought, but does not bear pistachio nuts.
