This fast-growing, ornamental plant displays large, exotic, fragrant lavender flowers on tall stems. Its leaves are long, narrow, strap-like, and have a strong garlic scent. These leaves can be used to season soups and salads. The showy flowers have a lovely fragrance and they appear off and on all year, especially from June to September. The plant does well in beds and borders and in herb and rock gardens.
