This vigorous, clinging vine boasts a mass of 2” red-orange trumpet-like flowers that broom throughout the summer, once established.  These show-stopping flowers attract bees and hummingbirds, sitting pretty amid dark green leaves that take on tones of orange, red, and purple during the late seasons. The vine grows obediently up or along structures such as a brick wall, tree bark, post, large trellis, or fence, easily reaching out for 30 ft. or more. A cross-cut section of the stem shows a mark resembling a Greek cross – hence the name.
