The leading variety for freezing, drying, and canning, the Tilton is one of the most flavorful of all apricots. The fruits are heart-shaped, medium-sized, and have a sweet-tart flavor. The fruit is golden with a rosy blush. This vigorous tree grows to 15 ft. or more and blooms very early in the spring, producing a mass of fragrant, delicate, pink flowers. The apricots ripen in late June to July.
