Growing up to 4 ft. tall and 6 ft. wide, this ornamental cactus maintains its beauty year round. The round, gray-green pads, which are covered with tiny barbed spines, turn to rich red-purple in the winter or during drought conditions. Brilliant yellow flowers bloom in the spring on the outer edges of the pads. This plant makes an excellent accent for your garden and looks fabulous in a container. It produces small red-purple fruits which are not typically harvested.
