The most widely planted pecan tree in the southwest, it produces an abundance of medium-sized, high quality nuts, which ripen around November and have a very rich flavor. The tree is hardy and easy to grow, reaching to 40 ft. tall or more, and starts bearing fruit at an early age. It branches profusely but responds well to pruning, so it can be a good fit for smaller spaces than the Wichita.
